Our journey began nearly forty-years-ago when our co-founder, Rajiv Nanda, received his first camera, leading him and his wife, Anju, on an incessant journey of collecting pieces from across the globe. Having grown up in the large Indian metropolitan cities of Mumbai and New Delhi, Rajiv was surrounded and inspired by the vibrancy of the very streets he walked on and thought of no better way to capture their essence than through street photography. His fervor for portraits led him to workshops with renown photographers like Joyce Tennyson, where he gained an appreciation for figurative works and black-and-white photography.

The Nanda’s collection extends itself to modern art (both Indian and western), antiques, and Indian stone sculptures, with each piece baring a strong sense of individuality. “That’s the best part about collecting,” Rajiv believes. “Knowing that what you buy not only serves an aesthetic or investment purpose but also tells a story. Each piece narrates a unique tale, evoking a plethora of emotions that is felt differently by everyone. And that’s where the real beauty of art lies.

Along with our decades of experience collecting, our acute curation abilities have been augmented through training at institutes like Sothebys,  Christies, and Cornell University, all of which provided us with tools that were instrumental in shaping our vision.
